Major rewrite. The file now includes the names of just about everyone that has ever contributed to BZFlag directly. This includes grouping contributors chronologically as core devs, devs, code contributors, servers & infrastructure, corporate & organizational, and special thanks. File includes details on what each section and level of contribution means. There are undoubtedly omissions and discrepancies to resolve, but it's a big start (and took a long time to compile, using NEWS, CVS history, and the notes section as a reference guide).
